Q. Can I get (or make) copies of a whole book?

Notice: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. The person using this equipment is responsible for any infringement.

Answer

Due to copyright laws, we are prohibited from copying a whole book or in most cases significant parts of a book.  Copyright laws are in place to protect the work of the book's author and to ensure that the author and publisher are properly paid for their work product -- just like we all want to be paid fairly for our work.
